1947:
Butts Motor Company, 1520-24 E. Douglas. Over
the course of several decades, Butts Motors operated auto
dealerships from at least two downtown locations. In the
above left photo, a lineup of specially-modified postwar
Oldsmobiles are on display; many were custom-equipped with
specialized controls for men who had been injured or suffered
amputation in World War II. (Note the men with crutches.)
Today the remodeled building houses the L.J. Pracht Company,
seller of packaging and gift wrap.
