1961: Mueller's Flowers, 3123 E. Douglas. Founded in 1885 by Charles P. Mueller -- namesake of Wichita's Mueller Elementary School -- Mueller's Flowers served locals for a century. Today the site is a parking lot between two "payday loan" centers.
