6. At age 12 I took a paper route and started making my own pocket money. I remember my first big new-album purchase: Men at Work's "Business as Usual" and John Cougar's "American Fool," bought at the K-Mart in Ark City — but on cassette, the dominant format at the time. I felt like a real big spender that day. Still love both those albums, too. Bubblegum forever!
